CAP Toy Project 2004
The Christian
Appalachian Project (CAP) is the capstone of the CWC's community service
effort to build and donate toys to needy children.
As co-chairmen, Terry Elfers and John Leonardi wish to express
their appreciation for the members' continued support for CWC's CAP Project.
This year the club donated a total of 453 toys. WOW!!! A great
job again this year! Terry Hale and John Leonardi delivered the toys to
the CAP office in Mt Vernon, Kentucky on November 17 (Terry Elfers was playing
nurse, assisting his wife who is recovering from surgery). Terry and
John were given a wonderful reception. The staff stopped a meeting and
helped unload the toys. Everyone was very excited. They wanted to open all
the boxes and see what the club had contributed. They even started playing
with the pull and push toys. The staff continues to appreciate the abundant
generosity of our members and hope that we will all be richly rewarded.
If you'd like more information on how you
can contribute, contact Terry Elfers or John Leonardi. See
